This is a gorgeous shiny satin goldtone vintage mesh necklace made by Trifari. It is a woven mesh design that almost looks like snake skin. The mesh appears to be crimped into link style sections throughout the necklace with gold bands or bars in between to give the necklace added dimension and accents. It is signed on the clasp TRIFARI with no copyright symbol and it also has the stylized crown hang tag, which I believe was first used in 1954. The main part of the necklace measures approximately 13 inches with a 3 inch adjustable extension chain for a total of 16 inches in length. It is 1/2 inch wide. It has a shepherd or fish hook design closure on one end and a dangling gold ball at the other end of the chain.

It is in very good vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is just a little bit of gold finish wear on the clasp part of the necklace (see arrow in photograph), typical for normal use.

This would be a great addition to your collection of vintage jewelry or your Trifari Collection. It will look fantastic with that little black dress or your favorite pair of jeans. It is quite elegant, yet beautifully simple at the same time.
