I Have absolutely no proof that this belonged to General Yeager, I bought this in Spain in 2010 from a shop in Benidorm Spain, the owner claimed it belonged to General Yeager. I asked where it came from and the owner said he didnt know. As a Veteran if the Cap was real I did not want it in Spain. I purchased it for 120 dollars, I have done alot of research and I believe it did belong to General Yeager. I have absolutely no gaurantees as I took the chance, the writing seems to be very worn, so there is no mistake about the time era. if there is a expert out there and you can tell me its not real I will take it down, I have encased it in glass and it is the topic of discussion between visiting friends and family. I buy Vintage Military Surplus and this was the start of my career . I now search everywhere for vintage caps and hats and uniforms. Again I dont have proof this is the real deal, only my word on where I got it and my gut feeling, which is I really hope the vendor was right. good luck. Glass Case not included.
