This is a beautiful pair of oval shaped Damascene pierced earrings depicting a bird in flight and flower design in a black matte setting. The dramatic black and gold intricate design is on gold tone metal. Each earring measures approximately ¾ of an inch by ½ inch. These earrings are not signed, but they are Spanish in style and are most likely from Toledo, Spain. I would guess they were purchased on one of my parents vacations as a souvenir, but I don’t know when they were purchased. The backs of the earrings have a diamond shape textured pattern on a shiny gold base.

They are in great used condition, as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There are a few little dark marks on the posts on the back where the backings slide on and off. One of the posts has a slight curve to it, but it is original to the earrings and not damage. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description.

This beautiful pair of Spanish earrings would be a wonderful addition to you collection of Damascene jewelry. They would look fantastic with that little black dress or your favorite pair of jeans. They are dainty and lightweight and comfortable to wear.
