Safety Approved, we offer the difficult to find  9V Linear AC/DC power supply that is suitable for equipment that requires a draw of no more than 9v 500ma and fitted with a 2.1MM ID connection tip. 

Often a Linear/Transformer type power supply is used with older equipment, or with equipment as the manufacturer of your device indicates. 

A linear power supply such as this one is typically unregulated, as opposed to a switchmode power supply.  It's power is governed by it's technical build, but will vary under differing loads. It's power is more dependent on the draw from the device it is used with.  Simply speaking, that means if your device needs 9V 500ma, then that is what it will draw from the power supply.

As for the Postive or Negative Polarity/Center/Tip, this is simple. Typically your power supply or device will have a - or a + with an open circle facing the direction of the Polarity.  So for Positive, the open circle will be in the direction of the + (plus), and for Negative, the circle will be in the direction of the - (minus)
