This is a gorgeous vintage glass bead necklace. The photo shows the necklace doubled up and looking like a two strand necklace, but it is actually a long Flapper necklace that measures 55 inches in length end to end and therefore hangs at about 27 inches when worn.  The multi-color beads are beautiful and vibrant. Some of the beads have swirly patterns to them and others are a solid color. Colors include lavender, coral, purple, pink, turquoise blue, olive green, honey, and more. These may be pressed or molded glass beads, but I don’t know for sure. The beads have faux pearls as spacers between the glass beads. I would guess these are Czech beads, but I don’t know for sure.

All the beads are present and in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs, with no chips or cracks.  Each of the brass or wire metal links between the beads and the pearls was hand created and has an older patina. The brass barrel screw clasp works well and shows a bit of tarnish, but I did not want to polish it as many people prefer the patina that comes with age. This is a Fabulous Flapper necklace and will be fun to wear full length or doubled up. Perfect for any occasion and will easily go with so many outfits, add a splash of color to anything you like to wear. It would make a wonderful addition to your vintage jewelry collection.
