Vintage Fish Koi Articulated Chinese Charm Pendant Enamel Green Silver
Artisan Champleve Dark Green and Mint
Orange Accents
Goldfish Pisces
Miniature Small Tiny
Silver Bronze Brass Tone Body
Moves Wiggles

This is a spectacular vintage three dimensional Miniature Enameled Fish Charm or Pendant. It is lovely shades of enamel in dark green and mint green on a bronze or brass tone body. The mouth is accented in orange as is the left eye. The right eye appears to be more of a light yellow (the orange may have faded) . I have owned this charm since the 1970s or early 1980s; it is not a new reproduction. For awhile I was collecting them and have several others listed in my booth. I love them, but no longer wear them. It is unmarked, except for the word "SILVER" on the bail. This has not been tested this for silver content, but it is probably 825 silver with a gold or brass wash.

The fish is articulated (I have also seen the term reticulated used) along the length of the body with individual rows of scales, which allows the fish's body, fins and the tail to move freely and bend back and forth (it wiggles). It is as much a work of art as it is a piece of jewelry; the fish is so very detailed and gorgeous. Bronze balls are placed along the spine below the top fin on the back.

It is in excellent condition and is ready for a bracelet or necklace. This tiny fish measures approximately 1 inch in length and 3/4 of an inch tall. Please make sure you look at the picture with the quarter, it is much smaller than it looks in the enlarged photographs! What a great find for a Pisces or a fish collector.
