This is a mint 2016 USPS stamp sheet of 20 self adhesive FOREVER stamps celebrating the the wonder of sharks, featuring 5 species that inhabit American waters:

the swift, streamlined shortfin MAKO Shark (Isurus Oxyrinchus),

the pelagic THRESHER Shark (Alopias Pelagicus) with its unique whip-like tail fin,

the GREAT WHITE Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is what epitomizes sharks in many peoples' minds,

the scalloped HAMMERHEAD Shark (Sphyma lewini), one of the 3 large hammerhaed species

and the sluggish, filter-feeding, school bus-sized WHALE SHARKS (Rhincodon typus), the world's largest fish.
