"I'm getting married in the morning, ding dong the bells are going to chime..."  Here for your inspection is a VHTF, Fisher Price Fun- with- Food #2152 Create-a-Cake Play Set. Contrary to similar sets that may be offered on the internet by other sellers, this particular offering is 100% COMPLETE and is in EXC++-NEAR MINT condition. Introduced by Fisher Price in 1988, this play set afforded children the opportunity to create a variety of cakes for special occasions. From birthday cakes, to bridal cakes, to Valentine's Day cakes, a child could decorate and customize their cake to suit a variety of situations. This play set includes rosettes and star decorations, glow-in-the-dark candles, numbers 1-7 for birthdays, Valentine's and Bride and Groom cake toppers, and a pink trellis handle that doubles as a cake transporter.

 

 

 

Accessories for this play set consisted of the following:

 

 

 

4 HTF triangular shaped yellow cake quarters that when put together, make a full cake (EXC++-NEAR MINT--numerous light surface scratches on the top and bottom of two slices; rest are NEAR MINT);

 

 

 

4 HTF white frosting quarters to put on top of the cake slices (1 NEAR MINT---2 barely discernible scratches; only visible when you hold piece up within 3" of your eyes under a light; had to confirm that my eyes weren't playing tricks on me by using sense of touch---they're that difficult to see; other 3 frosting pieces are in MINT condition);

 

 

 

1 VHTF small round yellow cake topper (MINT);

 

 

 

1 VHTF small round white icing to put on top of the cake topper (MINT);

 

 

 

1 RARE pink trellis (MINT);

 

 

 

1 HTF pink platter (EXC++--NEAR MINT--light surface scratches);

 

 

 

1 RARE glow-in-the-dark candle topper (MINT);

 

 

 

1 RARE Bride and Groom/Valentine's Day cake topper (NEAR MINT--litho of Bride and Groom loose at the bottom; I will be gluing this back in place with Rubber Cement; once this is done, this topper will be in MINT condition);

 

 

 

1 VHTF pink insert to separate and support the two cake tiers (NEAR MINT--faint surface scratches on one side);

 

 

 

6 VHTF rosettes (MINT---all pegs intact);

 

 

 

4 yellow star clusters (3 MINT; 1 star cluster has 1/2 of peg broken off; first time I've noticed this; still firmly holds in place when inserted into corresponding hole on cake frosting); and

 

 

 

1-7 number toppers (MINT).

 

 

 

When the child is finished playing with this play set, the decorative pieces (e.g. stars, rosettes, and numerals) fit inside the hollow second level cake tier. The pink trellis holds together all the cake layers and allows the rest of the cake to be transported for storage.

 

 

 

This play set is a DEFINITE WINNER with young children (e.g. from 3-7 years of age). What child doesn't like to imagine attending a Birthday party? This is a FABULOUS play set that affords children numerous open-ended play opportunities.

 

 

 

It is my understanding that the rosettes and stars were manufactured in Korea while the rest of the pieces were produced by Fisher Price in the United States.

 

 

 

I will be thoroughly Q-tip cleaning this play set and all of its accessories prior to sending it to its new owners. My play sets are IMMACULATE!

I primarily utilize Fed Ex Home Delivery for items exceeding 5 lbs. in weight, measuring greater than 12 inches in any dimension, or traveling longer distances. I’ve been finding Fed Ex has been running @33% cheaper than the USPS (including Parcel Post) and UPS Ground. FYI, another benefit of using either Fed Ex or UPS is that their quote includes up to $100 worth of FREE insurance. Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account.



In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item.
 



Packages traveling to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped Parcel Post via the USPS. Insurance and delivery confirmation are required.
 


I’m more than willing to combine multiple purchases into one box whenever it is safe to do so to decrease your shipping costs. Please combine your purchases on ONE INVOICE. If you pay for these items separately, I get charged multiple transaction fees by PayPal plus you get over-charged on your shipping. Of course, I will refund you any amount over $1.00 that you've overpaid on shipping. However, it's easier on both of us if you wait until I can send you the correct amount.


I’m more than happy to ship selected play sets to Canada. Remember that shipping to Canada can be quite expensive so please contact me for a shipping quote before you purchase an item. I will attempt to find the cheapest shipping rate possible. Also, Canadian customers will be responsible for any brokerage fees, Custom’s duties, or VAT’s imposed by your governments. I am not responsible for these charges. Insurance is required for all international shipments.
