In 1987, Fisher Price introduced its Fun with Food series. Immensely popular with young children, Fisher Price added new offerings to this line up until 1990-91. This particular play set, Fisher Price's Fun with Food #2107 Family Dinnerware Set was manufactured between 1987-89 and was designed for 3-7 year old children. It consisted of a 25 piece dinnerware set with place settings for four. It also included a convenient yellow dish rack on which budding chefs could pretend to "dry" their dishes. In my opinion, this particular offering is in EXC-EXC++ condition.
Specific items comprising this set are:
4 HTF blue plastic bowls (2 MINT; 2 NEAR MINT---faint scratches inside bowl; not prominent at all; basically only notice these when you hold the bowls up within 3" of your eyes and rotate them in the light);
4 HTF white plastic plates with two blue rings around the rim and a red heart with 2 blue "leaves" on the front sides of the plate (NEAR MINT---light scuffs; I just now noticed I mistakenly included 2 plates with blue hearts around the rim; I have replaced these with 2 other plates that have the red hearts on them; therefore, you will be receiving 4 matching plates with two blue rings around the rim and a red heart with two blue "leaves" on the front side of the plate);
4 VHTF white plastic spoons with a heart imprint and 4 "leaves" below it on the end of the round handles (3 MINT; 1 NEAR MINT--a little roughness on one side of the bowl; NOT chews);
4 VHTF white plastic forks with the same heart and leaves imprint on the end of their handles (3 MINT; 1 EXC++--has a couple of barely perceptible "nibbles" on the underneath side of one of the prongs);
4 RARE white plastic knives with ribbed edges on the "blades" and the same heart and leaves imprint on the end of their handles (MINT);
4 VHTF clear plastic drinking glasses with a smooth brim and ribbed sides (2 EXC-EXC++---few scratches and scuffs; other 2 are MINT);
1 HTF yellow plastic dish rack (MINT).
This set is not a part of the recent recall of Fisher Price toys made in China. The utensils were manufactured in Korea and all of the other components were produced in the U.S.A.
This set is certain to entertain young children in assorted dramatic role-playing scenarios. I will be thoroughly Q-tip washing all of the accessories and the dish strainer prior to sending it on to its new owner.
This set weighs 1 lb., 6 oz. UNWRAPPED. My location is Lafayette, IN (47905).
