Item description for Vintage Wood Beads Parrot Macaw Bird Necklace Earrings Set Tropical

This is a wonderful beaded wooden necklace and earring set, made from various shapes and styles of wood beads with a large carved Parrot as the focal point of the piece. The Parrot is stunning and the hand painting on the bird is highly detailed, even on the back of the bird (see photos). The hand crafted necklace is approximately 31 inches in length. The Parrot sits on the side of the necklace and measures 4 ¼ inches tall from the top of the head to the end of the tail and almost 3 inches wide from the tip of the wings to the beak. The necklace can be worn with the Parrot on the left side or on the right side, it is reversible. Included with the necklace is a pair of wood Parrot pierced earrings that measure just under 1 ¾ inches long. I probably purchased the necklace back in the 1970s or 1980s.

This necklace is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There are no cracks or damage to the beads, just the normal imperfections you find on handcrafted beadwork. The tail of the Parrot on one side, at the very tip of the blue has a tiny little bit of normal wear to the paint. You don’t see it without the magnification. The silver tone spring ring clasp is secure. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would be perfect for anyone who loves Parrots. How fun to wear on a cruise to a Caribbean Island or for a pool party or Luau. It is sure to be noticed and is quite a conversation starter.
