This is a great looking vintage elephant themed necklace made of carved bone pieces. There are nine carved elephants connected with strands of bone beads in varying shapes and sizes in shades of cream and beige with silver tone metal and brass spacer beads. There are two small elephants on each of the strands. The large Elephant pendant or dangle is connected at the bottom of the necklace to the two side strands through two holes in the elephants body. The dangle is 3 inches from the elephants back to the bottom of legs of the 4 small elephants that hang from it. The necklace is 18 inches from end to end and has a lobster clasp closure.

This necklace is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It has gorgeous workmanship. There are no chipped or missing pieces that I can see. It probably originated from India around the 1970s. This is a substantial necklace and weighs 2.1 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 59.53 grams.

This would make a great addition to your collection of vintage jewelry. It would look great with that little black dress or your favorite pair of jeans.
