This is a delicious piece of vintage figural costume jewelry. It is a highly detailed gold tone fruit pear brooch covered with a combination of topaz and golden amber chaton rhinestones and topaz aurora borealis stones. There is an outer row of 22 topaz rhinestones, next to that is a row of 19 golden amber rhinestones and in the center a teardrop consisting of 15 Aurora Borealis Rhinestones. There is a gold tone stem with two plastic marquise shaped green leaves at the top. The entire piece is accented with gold metal and is beautifully finished off. Each rhinestone is surrounded by little gold dots. It is extremely sparkly and dimensional. The pear measures approximately 2 ½ inches from the top of the stem to the bottom of the pear and 1 ¼ inches wide. This is most likely from the 1970s to 1980s, but I'm guessing on that date, it may be earlier.

This is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. One of the plastic leaves has a little plastic spur from when it was made that sticks off of it, it can probably be sanded off with a nail file, but I will leave that up to you. There are a few spots on the back on the gold tone metal, but those also look original to the piece. This is one of the most beautifully made pear brooches I have seen. I have not found another one like it searching the Internet.
