This is a brand new replacement motor for the original Lava Simplex 18" Caribbean and 16" Adriatic Wave Machines with the rectangular vessel and black end caps. These are NOT for the cylindrical wave machines or any other wave machine. Until now, no replacement motor was available for these machines. This listing is for one 120VAC North American motor. They are also available in a 220VAC version for proper operation overseas! The 220VAC motors are custom made with the correct RPM for use in Europe. Using a transformer with the original 120VAC North American version of the motor will cause the motor to run slower thus "deflating" the wave performance to the point it doesn't really make waves at all. Now, you can have a machine that operates properly in Europe. Please see them in my other listings. Installation is simple, but requires some basic technical skill and hand tools. The original motor is riveted to the metal bracket. The rivets must be drilled out or cut off using wire cutters. Then, just cut the original wires after the connectors and use the supplied blue wire nuts or crimp on connectors to connect the new motor. Then bolt the new motor in ensuring to use the extra nuts between the motor and bracket as a spacer to center the rotating wheel in the opening of the base housing. Finally, I also recommend adding a small piece of matte Scotch tape where the cam wheel contacts the vessel. Done! You will have a motor that will serve you for years to come.
