although it was refurbished, it was cleaned up very nicely and appeared to be new. after installation all the random check engine codes were gone and the car reverted back to running like new. all the hesitance, stalls, and strange electrical issues are all gone. i couldn't be happier! doing it myself using a walk through video off the internet, i saved over $500! :)
the elderly gentlemen that owns the vehicle was ecstatic when i convinced him to take me for a ride. it was down almost 3 months by the time i finally saw him out and we chatted for a bit. i offered to try and fix it for him. i am not mechanically inclined and almost always i have extra pieces left over when i'm done but i had it done in less than half an hour, but i will remember his reaction the rest of my life.
