Brie (Brianna) Barraza is the founder of Coastal Cowgirls, a women’s apparel brand that blends the spirit of the West with laid-back California cool. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Brie was raised by her single father, a veteran of the apparel industry and cofounder of LA Gear, who sparked her passion for fashion from a young age. As a child, she could be found sketching designs, sewing outfits for her dolls and dogs, or running through trade show aisles while her father worked.

In 2020, Brie relocated to Whitefish, Montana, where the contrast between coastal roots and rugged mountain life inspired a unique fashion vision. What began as selling silk face masks on Etsy during the pandemic soon evolved into a full-fledged apparel line. Drawing from both the sun-soaked beaches of LA and the rustic charm of Montana, Coastal Cowgirls was born — a brand that feels like an extension of Brie herself.
