Listings in general search

Hi,

Sorry for the newbie question but I’ve set up a booth successfully it appears but when I go to the general search area I am unable to see any of my listings. Is there a lag time before they appear or have I perhaps missed a function that allows it?

Thanks fo any help.

Sincerely,
Mike

I don’t often find my listings in generic/organic search on Google. Did you try Google Shopping? That’s where I usually find my Bonanzle listings.

I checked your booth and the all caps in your titles is definitely hurting you. You also aren’t taking advantage of the first 250 words of your description which are words that help your search results. Try creating your titles without all caps and make sure you hit “update booth” to send your updates to Google. Then recheck for placement tomorrow.

Now and then hit the “update booth” button to keep the information fresh that goes to Google.

But they may not remain for long or be accepted on Google if you do not remove the capitals.

The OP didn’t ask anything about Google. He uploaded listings to Bonz, but couldn’t find them in search.

If you read his later post, he realized that his items were now in search ON BONANZLE, but that there was a lag time between creating a listing, and having that listing available in search.

Thanks to all. The situation has been rectified. Items just appear to have been in hold until the system was updated. They appear now.

Yes usually 24 to 48 hours.

Also, Google is not happy when you use all Capitals in your titles, Ebay has a working relationship with Google and doesn’t seem to mind,But all Caps here is not good.

Glad you figured it out- also, great info for other newbies wondering the same- I also hit ‘update booth’ if my items haven’t been updated in google recently- works every time :)

I didn’t know until a couple of days ago that all caps in the title was not wise. I cannot find it anywhere on Bonanzle’s help pages. Unfortunately reading Google’s help pages is like reading ancient Greek for me. I am slowly correcting my problem. Didn’t know about periodically hitting the update button either. I always hit it when I make changes, but it never crossed my mind to hit it more often. Thanks for the info.
