Is karl lagerfels jewelry ever not signed?

I bought 2 pieces of jewelry from a seller whe described them as Karl Lagerfeld. When I received them neither were marked, and the earrings were made of an unusual material It felt like a soft gold tone substance. My question is were early Lagerfeld jewelry ever not marked? I sent them back immediately and was upset that she had the nerve to offer them as Lagerfeld. Her response was she bought them herself and they were definately Lagerfeld. Thanks for your opinions Renee

Hello [URL removed]

Only if they’re from the “signature style collection” and if mentioned within the description.

Since the 80’s, Karl Lagerfeld had been chief designer of ChaneL.

  • Here’s a true parallel [URL removed] Mens silk Karl Lagerfeld ties carry the label but it is only the “signature style collection” that will have the signature tc=thread count fold on it if distributed from CHANEL.

Its nice to read that your seller accommodated your return request.

Have a great day, bye bye

I just went and looked an all the vintage Karl Lagerfeld that I found all have a kl on the back and the scallop shell symbol. Now mind you that was just what I found. I am not an expert on jewelry so I can not say that I am 100% percent on this but I did do a search on his vintage jewelry and the sites I went to all described that mark on the jewelry.

Wonderful that your seller accommodated your return request.

I do not know about the KL mark, but I am truly very surprised that in a 2nd market venue purchase You the buyer did not;

1. Ascertain this information yourself Before buying.
2. Speak with the seller Before buying.

The two things above would have helped insure a positive outcome for you and the seller.

I wish you happy hunting to all your future purchases.
