He looks like Michael Caine to me, especially around the eyes and hairline. But he probably wouldn’t be old enough.
I’m searching movie stars from the 20’s & 30’s … there is a picture of Douglas Fairbanks, that maybe looks like him.

I love these questions! That pix looks like Groucho Marx…but from what movie? Hhmmmm, maybe-“Off to the Races”. I think it was early in the movie when he was still in Fla. as a vet…I’ve seen all their movies but I haven’t drank nearly enough coffee to make my brain work yet! Good luck with your search!

He does look like Caine but note that those picture are from late 20’s and early 30’s.. Like Fabfinds said he wouldn’t be old enough…

i agree it looks like a young Micheal Caine too me as well but i cant think of any black and whites he starred in or where he played an orderly or ice cream man cause thats what his clothing looks like

I believe that may be William Powell known for roles such as “The Thin Man”, etc. The timeline seems right, I just don’t know how to post one of his pictures here, but you can google him.

Go to imdb.com and type in the name of the star you think it is. Then look a the photos. Maybe able to match it and find the movie also. I’m pretty sure it’s Michael Caine. I just saw him in a movie similar to this not too long ago. Can’t remember what it was.
