I have a large wash basin in pink with the same stamp and I have only found two listings online and they were both removed due to selling.

Wash Sets are in and out of favor these days. Condition is paramount for pricing. Dings, cracks, and crazing (common on 1890 to 1910’s Johnson Bros products) all affects value.

Color also affect value too. Cobalt Blue or Flow Blue would attract the best prices, but a good deep red or pink would have it’s audience too.

Replacements.com generally only cover dinner sets, so wash sets can’t be valued there. Their prices are way over the top and should only be considered for pristine products that were made (whenever) and have never been used (or even touched). Inflated is a keyword is what I like to use for that site.

Wash sets could easily sell for $500 to 700. The more complete the better the price can be. Pitcher, Wash Basin (bowl), Chamber Pot (with cover), Waste Bucket, with cover, Soap Dish (3 piece), Small Hot Water pitcher, Toothbrush Holder, and Mug usually comprise a complete set. So your set has a few pieces missing, but will still attract interest. Double or triple the value for Flow Blue sets.

You can always check ebay under completed listings (this only shows the last 2 weeks though), you can check Ruby Lane’s listings, you can check the Replacements website under manufacturer and pattern name for an idea of prices…their pieces are perfect so do keep this in mind.
In the Southeast these sets are not in fashion at present. However, both Johnson Brothers and Shelley are premiere names in vintage/older porcelain so there are probably collectors out there somewhere.

Harmony..I am glad to see that you are donating your set to a museum.

I am interested in this question, cause I have wash set, pitcher, bowl, small vase, soap dish(with lid & strainer), and chamber pot. It was made by Shelley in the 1930’s and is in a Art Deco pattern.

I wrote to the Shelley collector club in England, but they would only confirm when it was made and the shape and pattern.

I would really like to find some place that could provide a value too.
