Does any one buy using google check out?

I notice mostly that people buy when the seller has Pay Pal.

I recommend providing both since many of my sales have been paid by google checkout. One of the things I like about this service is that the money goes directly to my business checking after a few days. I’ve had no problems whatsoever with their service. Good Luck!

I accept both and I’m successful with it.
People pay via PP as well as GC

I don’t understand why sellers wouldn’t offer PayPal.
It’s essential and the most used way of payments

I’ve had a handfull of google GC’s- mainly everyone uses PP- but some absolutely do not support PP at all and will not purchase, unless they can pay through another means- but I believe most prefer PP, because you don’t have to worry about using your bank account funds and can use the money stored in your PP acct. Just my thoughts (and why I use PP instead of GC when purchasing, but offer both means as a seller) :)

Having more choices for your buyers at checkout means more sales. There are some people out there that don’t like Paypal and would rather use Google Checkout or Money Orders. If you only use 1 type of payment method you are limiting your pool of buyers. Currently about 25% of my buyers use Google Checkout.

Love using Google Checkout both as a buyer and seller. Don’t/won’t use PP. Only pitfall is that not all international users are able to use Google Checkout right now. On the other hand, most of my sales come through this service.

I Use Both although most purchases come through with PayPal I would say about 15% do use GC

answered over 13 years ago

I offer both, but have never had anyone pay with GC.

answered over 13 years ago

I offer both and get sales through both, so I would have to say YES!

answered over 13 years ago

I don’t use Paypal, and almost all my sales have been through Google Checkout, the rest through mailed payments.
I have also bought items on bonanza, using google checkout.

answered over 13 years ago

Yes they do. I make quite a few sales with Google Checkout. Offering your customers several payment options, in my opinion, gives me sales that I might not have had otherwise.

answered over 13 years ago

I use both, that way they have a choice…

answered over 13 years ago

I only offer PayPal since Google took forever to pay me my money, and I had to ship my orders.

answered over 13 years ago

I’ve sold a couple of items through GC. I like to offer both, as I’ve read here that some folks absolutely won’t use PP, and the money order option doesn’t work well in some situations.

I love it – shop and sell with it. Every option you give makes buying from you easier.

I offer both and while I don’t sell a lot here on Bonz I have had a number of payments through GCO. It’s easy to work with and they transfer the money in your account into your bank account instead of holding a balance. Offering their service is free so why not?

answered over 13 years ago

On Google Shopping, they have a button that allows you to search by sellers that offer Google Check Out. They do not have a button for PayPal… I offer GCO and will say that Many of my sales have come from outside buyers, using GCO.

answered over 13 years ago

I offer both and have about an equal number of checkouts from GCO & PP. Coincidentally, I just printed the fee schedules from both this morning, and the cost to accept either is now exactly the same. There’s no financial advantage to accepting GCO and the advantage is that you may get more customers. Probably worth doing!

Oh My gosh “YES”! Half of my sales are paid with GC. I love using it to buy and sell. Paypal is easy but the headaches that come with it for sellers made up my mind to discontinue it as an option for sales. Although I personally have not had an issue with Paypal, the more I read the more I moved away.

I use both GOOGLE and Paypal Some of the Buyers and Seller only have Google .. so it helps both ways.. :)

It’s PayPal and Google Checkout for us. Most of our clients pay with PayPal.

I take both but i notice more people use Paypal in my booth .
I have had nothing but good experiences with both forms of payment.
Knock on wood !!!!

answered over 13 years ago

I take both and so far most customers have paid with Pay Pal but some prefer Google. It doesn’t really matter to me as I haven’t had any problems with either one.

answered over 13 years ago

I offer both. About 1/3 of my sales have come through GC where I have it offered.

I only have PayPal and Money Order. I had to block the text messaging on my cell phone. Does anyone know if you can still have Google checkout without text messaging? That was one of the questions they asked when I tried to apply for Google checkout. It wouldn’t let me proceed and I didn’t know how to continue.

answered over 13 years ago

I offer both. I find that many bonzbuyers purchase via Google checkout and think many of them find our items using Google search.
There tends to be a slight delay in payment posting when a Buyer pays with Google, but it will get there eventually.
Both PP and GC have worked quite well for me.

answered over 13 years ago

Same here, I offer both. I’ve only had one or two sales with GCO but it was painless and no problem. I still don’t understand why some people are against PP. It’s also very easy to use. The more choices the better.

answered over 13 years ago

I don’t accept PayPal due to my issues with the company and don’t want to support them in any way. I do quite well with sales just using Google Checkout.

answered over 13 years ago

I buy with google checkout a lot. I also have it in my booth and I have a lot of buyers pay through google checkout. I prefer it, because the funds are deposited in your bank account.

answered over 13 years ago

I have had sales with both Paypal and Google Checkout, and haven’t had any problem with either one. I like Google Checkout the best as a few days after you ship, your money is already in your business checking account, unlike Paypal where you have to transfer the money and it can take up to 4 days. I highly recommend using both payment options.

Offer Google Checkout and PayPal. Buyers like to have a choice. Definitely recommend to have both.

At my other shop I have I can offer 3 electronic forms of payment-PP is one of them, GC another, and I am fortunate to be able to offer Amazon Payments too. With the sales I have had thus far majority have been Amazon, then GC, and hardly any PP. Once I added as much as I could for payments I would accept it changed things for me. So, with here at Bonanza offering GC along with your PP is a very good thing to do. People like choices.

answered over 13 years ago

i use both and i offer both, as it gives people options.

answered over 13 years ago

I’ve found that my sales have been about 70%-30% in favor of Google Checkout.

While offering a variety of payment choices may be nice for your customer, using Google Checkout lowers your profit as they not only charge a per transaction fee to use it but also take a percentage of the total dollar amount sold (and the lower the total sale amount the higher the percentage they charge) that means if you are selling via Google Checkout you are paying a percentage to both Bonanza and Google.

Several people have commented using Google is free that is incorrect. I just investigated the service myself when considering to use it or not.

Competitive transaction processing fees
When you use Google Checkout to process your sales, you’ll be charged rates as low as 1.9% + $0.30 per transaction, depending on your monthly sales volume. And there are no monthly, setup or gateway fees.
Monthly Sales Through Google Checkout Fees Per Transaction
Less than $3,000 2.9% + $0.30
$3,000 – $9,999.99 2.5% + $0.30
$10,000 – $99,999.99 2.2% + $0.30
$100,000 or more 1.9% + $0.30

Paypal on the other hand does not charge you fees to process your payments and your customers can use any credit card or checking account to pay for their items.

As for those who hate to wait for their money to be transferred to their bank accounts, that is minor all you have to do is simply request your balance on a regular basis and paypal does the rest for you.

I also love the fact that Paypal will create your invoices for you to send to your customers. This is very helpful when you have multiple items in one order or use varying types of shipping options.
