Is there a way to combine shipping if a buyer purchases two of the same item but separately?

Be careful putting items from two (or more) separate orders into the same shipping package. Since tracking would only indicate ONE package being delivered, it is possible for a deceitful buyer to claim that the other order(s) were not shipped and initiate a PayPal claim for a refund for INR.
With that said, I have done exactly what I have cautioned against. However, I initiate an email message (through the selling site’s messaging system) that gets the buyer’s OK to do so. Of course, since all of my items have free shipping, the buyer doesn’t care. Now, if I had collected shipping on each order, the buyer would have a right to be upset if I don’t pass along the savings that I would get from combining packages.

Apparently you can only preset to have invoices sent to you for review/adjustment. You cannot otherwise change anything unless you have all invoices sent to be reviewed and accepted. If a buyer purchases and pays for items separately & they go to the same address, combining orders after they are paid for isn’t possible. I do it all the time on eBay and it’s easy but cannot here.

If I cancel an order, then ask buyers to repurchase using the cart so the ship discount gets calculated, there is a chance that they will not repurchase. That is a hard decision to make, not to give buyers the best ship deal by shipping all together & refunding a portion for the shipping, esp. since I don’t want to get punished for combining items myself into one pkg. and shipping, when that will leave one item’s purchase without a “marked as shipped” strike against me. Even though it was shipped with the other(s) in a single pkg. If you try to put the same tracking # into both purchases it will be rejected on the second, etc. Would like Bonanza to change that so we can combine shipments not just have to review invoices since buyers may not like that they cannot buy right away without being reviewed and having to respond to the reviewed/edited invoice, which takes more time.
