Disabled google feeds

OK, so my google shopping feed is disabled and apparently has been for a while. My fault for not checking. I sent a note to Bonanza to see about getting this fixed.

What I did learn by digging around the questions and answers here will be useful to others so allow me to share. It seems google has some wierd rules in place regarding tobacco releated items. That includes my vintage cup with a pipe on it and my cigarette holders, as well as a Fontanini Bag PIPEr of mine.

When you list, go to batch editor and pick ‘search optimize’ then scroll down and have a look at your listings. You might be surprised at what comes up as restricted. I guess too many of those and google kicks you out.

Anywho, I fixed my offending listings (lol). I now have a bag piper who is a music player and a cigarette holder that is just a holder. Hopefully, my listings will be restored soon.

Anybody who has had this happen…how long does it take to get your listings back in business?

Did it happen for bagpipes because you made it two words?

Tortuga says: October 15, 2014

yeah, it did

yes it did

ith all these “restrictions” This is crazy! Google is making it so difficult for sellers – cigarettes aren’t illegal, nor are pipes. Well, thanks for the heads-up, Tortuga. Going to check out my settings now!

Hm yeah, my Google feeds are also disabled – it seems since eons.
This all is so … just annoying.
Word is that it’ll take forever – if at all – to be reinstated.

I have heard of some saying that it took quite a bit of time and after several requests. I think you should email bonz, to see if they will be asking for the feed to be re-instated

[URL removed]

Also, you can actually, suppress certain items from going in the feed which might be better than miss representing them (which could your disable your feed again) , and depend on organic search, tweets, pins and whatever. I believe most searching for antique/vintage items are not going to go to the ‘shopping’ listings anyway.

By the way, I had one item restricted, a Star Trek Orion Slave Girl action figure…(Restricted for dealing in human slavery)….

thanks, I am waiting to hear back from Bonanza now. I do show up pretty well in google organic, so folks can still find me. I’m gonna check your link out right now

Speaking of “Suppressed” – [URL removed] Just discovered all digital items are suppressed from Google.

misskeech says: October 15, 2014

What kind of digital items Fitnfree?

maydamart says: October 16, 2014

I have some ebooks, graphics and printables that are all instant download, misskeech, and all of those say “suppressed”. arg I wasn’t aware of that. Lesson learned!

So, im curious now. There are lots on here that make their own soaps & things like that. Lets say they put in “bath bomb” would that be removed? lol

Batch Edit (Update Items as a Group). Click on Search Optimize. Scroll down, you will see your items with google attributes, If any items are Restricted it will tell you there

SO the Update is that Bonanza says my feed is fine. BUT…still nothing shows up under google shopping so something must be amiss

Thanks for all the above info. Mine has not been updated since 4/25. I thought it was because I’m not paying any money. I don’t know what’s going on here anymore.
