Does anyone make sales on bonanza?

Hi Friends.
I see all these awards from third parties, paid memberships, free advertising until you sell, and other site features.

Are there any sales to be had?

Does the paid memberships really make a difference?

Hi, I’ve been on Bonanza since April of 2010. I’ve had 500 plus sales. This place works for me okay. I’m not making a ton of money, but the sales are fairly consistent. I try to add new items every day. Good luck here!

Make use of the advertising (ie sending your items to google shopping)
Memberships offer perks if you are already somewhat established and are getting sales to support it.

As to your booth, you have very limited number of items and many here have expressed in the past, that they did not see an increase in sales/or had sales until the had around 100+ items and offered some variety.

Books and videos are both hard to sell now with ebooks and streaming downloads and larger stores (ie amazon, barns and noble, and other sites that offer lots of variety will always place higher in the searches)…so search optimization and getting your items into google shopping is a priority to even compete.

We are not a destination site like ebay/amazon and most people get their sales through internet shopping searches.

If you are just looking to get rid of a few things then unfortunately this is probably not where you need to be.

If you wish to build a presence with a store (booth) then as with a brick and mortar store, you will have to work at getting your items noticed through search optimization, good descriptions, submission to search engines/Shopping site (which is done automatically in some cases and others you opt with the amount you are willing to pay in fees), and build an inventory…

Welcome to Bonanza
and good luck

I’m a proponent of the google advertising. I haven’t ventured into the other advertising options, so I can’t really comment. The paid memberships offer many perks which are great if you’re going to use them. They also offer increased exposure on Bonanza itself. Certainly a benefit if someone is here searching. However, I truly believe most of the sales come from search engines and not necessarily buyers searching the site. Mind you, all this is just my opinion from my experiences here for 5 years.

It takes awhile to make a sale as it’s not one of the bigger sites like e bay, but you need to keep adding items in your booth. I had listed close to 100 items before I made my first sale.

I opened here last October listing my duplicate Health and Beauty items. What the hay- I’ve made 6 sales and all to NEW MEMBERS! It’s been a slow go but I haven’t put in the work (mentioned above) to promote or advertise. It’s not high pressure here, forums are not full of fear and loathing of ‘the man’ closing you down, impossible rating standards, charging excessive selling fees, and the like. I’ve obviously come from the other marketplace so I’m comfortable with the selling part. Now it’s time for me to work on my social [URL removed]
