You can make a category if you wish

Buyers can set the sorting to Lowest Price first and the freebies come up first if they are listed

You can put link in your listings so that when the buyer clicks, it will take them to a page with freebies (this can be added when making the listings or through batch edit option of adding text at end of listings)

Buyers can see site wide freebies by Clicking on the link, in “Browse by Categories” up above..

For the most part since most buyers come directly to the items from internet searches, they rarely even see the “booth view” and would never even know there was a freebie category (usually only members actually know or those who deal with the site)

The other option is to just send a freebie along with purchase..many do that.

They cant just add one to the cart without buying anything can they

Under “Edit Booth Options” , “Discounts and coupons” , at the bottom there are 4 options under “Freebie policy” make sure that yours it set correctly for the way you want to offer them.

that’s correct…the wording would have to be in the listing…no pop-ups

Yes, you would have to put wording to that effect in the listing description. You would then have to hope that your buyer actually read the description and knows what to do. I would also add a few lines explaining how to get the freebie.

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
