Google ads disapproved most of my listings

Wow! On May 3, 2023 Google ads disapproved of most (565) of my listings, due to “Image link internal error#image link” (564 items); Processing failed [image link] and one for “Identifier exists false misuse#identifier exists (1 item) Incorrect value [identifier exists]”

These are mostly used media items. Most are listings that Bonanza acquired from my links to Amazon or eBay. I’ve had Google upset over titles that included words related to weapons, but never to this extent.

Anyone else? Solution? Or, is it time to just close down my Bonanza activities?

I had this happen, refresh your feed, it may help.

No, I would not close it. Calhan has a good idea and plus contact Bonanza.

After refreshing my feed (which was my first action after scratching my head), miraculously, all but one updated successfully. Bots must have been really frisky last week.

That’s great!

Glad to hear.

I’m currently in the same boat, 367 items are “Disapproved”. No answers from support, they say “just wait” a few days it’ll clear up on its own, still waiting. And refreshing the feed didn’t help.

It says “image link error”, what the heck does that mean? For one thing, google shoudn’t even have a bot to look for “image link errors” to begin with. Maybe they should have a FIX for bugs like this, instead of worring about image errors.

This is an official Bonanza response.

Hello lostlizard,

I just took a look at your account and saw that most of your items have been approved by Google Shopping. As others have mentioned, sometimes GS rejections can happen erroneously and refreshing your feed will get it fixed.

If you would like further specific help to get the rest of your items approved for Google Shopping advertising, I would recommend reaching out to our support team using the “Help” button at the top of any Bonanza page.

Thanks!

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
