Help

Hi Everyone,
Well it’s been 3 weeks now and still no sales, no nothing. Am I going insane? Can someone please help me as Bonanza are as useless as balls on a bull. How can I possibly have zero sales? Is there something wrong with my settings? Is my booth not open? Can people not add it to their cart? I have spent the last 3 weeks pulling my hair out literally. I have hundreds of items for sale and 1000’s of views, yet not one sale. Do Bonanza falsify views? Why are my items not showing up on Google when I have paid for them to do so?
I have also joined ebid where exactly the same thing is happening.
In sheer desperation I have also put only 40 items back onto Ebay at ridiculously high prices just to try and get attention from my followers and point them to here or ebid.
How can I go from 10-30 sales per week to zero? Am I going insane? Am I cursed? What am I doing wrong?
Everything on Bonanza and ebid are exactly the same as what I was selling on EBay, same prices, same shipping and same prices. What is wrong?
And yes I have also joined Facebook (first time in my life as I am firmly against social media) and this is useless as well.
I’d appreciate anyone reaching out to me, don’t be afraid as I’m a straight down the line, no nonsense gal, so just let me have it!
Cheers

Did you see my reply (and questions I asked you) on your other Bonanza post from a few days ago?

By the way if you search Google for “Berenguer Unicorn Horse Toy Figure” (without the quotation marks) and click on the Shopping tab, your item is the FIRST item shown in results. So, you are definitely getting Google exposure.

If you are indeed getting hundreds to thousands of view, but not getting sales, then the first thing to ask yourself is WHY. Could it be the prices you are charging and the shipping fees to ship your items to USA (as I asked in my other reply)?

Be honest and ask yourself if charging $21 to ship a $14 item is going to get you the sales you desire.

Good luck.

Hello.

I think the word in your booth name “junk” does not describe your booth well.

I don’t see any junk in it. It’s just my opinion that I would remove that word.

Use a white background. Your toys have a lot of color, which is a great benefit to you….using a white background can help them to pop in color. You can get some white poster board at Dollar General, Walmart, Dollar Tree, etc.

Okay, a biggie is that you do not have a description in your listings.

It just, from what I saw looking at a few listings, says the condition of the listing.

Google organic (www.google.com) and Google shopping both want information to show their browsers and I mean good information…strong keywords told as in a short story.

Just an example without using any of your listings other than knowing you sell toys (sorry, I’m in a hurry and don’t want to go back to your booth and look for a toy)…

[URL removed]

This nostalgic toy is vintage from the 1980s. The red phone pull toy with a string is made of plastic and can be pulled along by your little one since it is on wheels. Or if you are an avid collector who loves old toys, grab it up before it’s gone.

You could really have a lot of fun describing toys. I think there’s so much to say about them, more than what meets the eye.

If I remember right Google shopping grabs a hold of the first 250 words? (read up on it)….this is a good question for Tom Wayne?

I need everyone to understand that I have no control over what Australia Post dictates as postage costs, it is extremely expensive in Australia to post anything locally or world wide. I cannot offer to send an item internationally for free either. Regardless of this I have a proven track record of shipping costs being irrelevant as I already stated I had built a very profitable business and moved it directly to Bonanza and ebid with no changes what so ever. So thats why im questioning whether im either going insane or there is a problem with settings or payments etc.

I see you got your first Bonz sale. Every happy ending needs to have a start.

In my experience you will get a lot less sales on bonanza then ebay. I sell daily on ebay but maybe 2-3 sales a month here. That’s OK with me since i’m in it for the long haul and it’s also my webstore.

This seems weird to me, because customers are sitting at the same computers, and can jump from one website to the next effortlessly with the click of a mouse.
If you have a good price for your item or something good to sell, why would vastly more people buy it from the exact same seller on one website, over another? In most cases both would use exact the same pay medium too….. PayPal for instance.

It seems some fenagling is happening with the search results when people look for stuff? Or maybe Google is prioritizing Ebay over Bonanza. Why would people just ignore Bonanza listings if they want the best deal and its so easy to get to and look at. I can’t think of any other reasons in these comparing apples to apples scenarios.

BTW I heard that Bonanza was just bought out and the new mgmt vows to make it more market focused, even going after Instagram and TikTok to drive traffic. Anybody have any thoughts?
It sounds good as long as they aren’t going to start charging us for advertising. I mean that’s going to be a tough call if I can just sell on Ebay without paying more.
