How long does it normally take?

for a shop to start to take off on Bonanza? I have lots of views – More views here than in my Etsy shop and that’s saying something – But not a single sale. Do I just need to give it more time? I’m paying for the gold membership as well.

I know I will probably get slammed…but it does take time here and it depends on what you sell. (A few weeks is barely enough time to get your items out there). Though not always true, many find that sales usually do not pick-up until there is 100+ inventory unless you have high demand items

This is not a destination site so most/if not all sales come from internet searches so it is important to work on titles and descriptions.

Most people will check ebay/amazon and then probably go to internet searches (either organic or Google product search). You will have to spead the word about your store..people are not going to “magically” appear on your doorstep

For the most part listing in google shopping (GPS) will give you the biggest advantage and when GPS went pay for listings sales dropped for many here, but I see you do have items in GPS, so you have that option covered (also see them listed in etsy…which I believe for your items is where most buyers will go first)

As for membership…I had one for 4 years..I just let it expire, simply because I has surgery recently and have not been working my booth as much as I used to and could no longer maintain the level of sales to support the membership. (listing and leaving without using optimizing, updating, and using social media will not bring you sales here…) If you have previous customers from other venues, you may wish to offer incentives (like reduced pricing) to them for them to shop at your bonanza booth.
Mine is a perfect example..I did nothing for about 3 months and my sales dropped drastically..even my normal Holiday sales…

In my opinion, memberships should not even be considered until you have established your store…it starts showing well on the internet (ranking in searches) and you have the sales to actually support the costs of a membership…once you have the sales then the tools offered by memberships can increase what you already have

Very true and excellent answer. When I worked on my store continuously (as well as regularly participated in the forums) I made decent sells, but as soon as I was unable to do so, my sales just about completely stopped. You can make sells on bonanza, but it takes a lot of time and a lot of attention

Some sellers sell right away, for others, it takes a while. I don’t think there is just one answer. Have you signed up for google advertising, that is where I now get most of my sales from.

I have been using Bonanza for a little over a month now, at the lowest level utilizing the google advertising…I have gotten 6 sales so far. And 4 of them were for the same item (hot item). I have over 130 items in my booth…and at least half of my items have never even been seen. But I’m still making sales! :o)

I was wondering the same. (I’m back after a leave.) I’m getting thousands of views everyday, but no sales.

Paying for Gold as well…

Sorry to be the noob here. What is google shopping? I have a store, but I’m unfamiliar with the best way to advertise my best selling items.

Go under your add/edit items tab, @ top, click on Advertise Items, click what % you want to pay & you’ll activate google advertising/shopping![URL removed]
