Here is a work around that should work.
I use Picasa.com to upload my photos to (Picasa stays right here on my computer with me). Whenever I save a photo to Picasa I go into Picasa and click once on the image I want to resize and then I click the Control key, the Shift key and the S key all at the same time and then a box pops up and I type what I want to resize the image to.
You’d have to literally right click over your image here on Bonanza and click Save image as (give it a name like to the title of your listing) in order to resize it in Picasa.
I always make sure to keep Picasa open when I am saving an image. When saving the image make sure you are saving it in your Picasa folder. Once you save the image go in under Documements, then Pictures, and then Picasa to find that photo when you are wanting to upload the image back onto Bonanza.
Once you are in Picasa and you have resized the image, it will further be saved automatically to an Export folder that you can find under Picasa as well.

My copy of Paint resizes by percentage..so I guess it depends on the original size of the photo
I use irfranview to re-size…I usually resize to about 1000 to 1200 wide..and the the height re-sizes accordingly…..i try to stay in the 1000×800 range, unless it is a “tall” item then I reverse 800×1000 range…
there really is no correct size but an approximate 1.24/1.25 ratio is a good bet
1000 × 800;
800 × 650
or something like that…there is not set “have to be size” but don’t make them huge either…

I use 495 × 575 Pixels, it’s not too large and it’s not too small, and when it’s in the booth it looks good too, because it isn’t too large.
I think that’s the question you asked and I hope others or I have helped you!

When you go into your image editor, open the picture,it should too you on the top of the picture what percent of actual size it is. If not, the top of the program should have a bunch of drop down menus, there should be some thing like “Image” or View". If you click View, “actual size” or 100% it will show you how it looks on your screen. That is when you can scale by percent, mine have to be reduced by 50% when I import from my camera. If I crop out a lot of background, maybe 65%. Don’t make your pictures too small, as the “Click on Picture” feature allows buyer to see details.
