Well, I finally made sale after a year, whoohooo. After seeing that Bonanza and/or PayPal charged a sales commission on the shipping end I would like to rectify that. The item purchased had significant shipping cost. The customer will get a 50 to 60% refund on shipping because of the customer’s local. So, is there a place here on Bonanza to give a shipping refund or do I do that through PP. Also, how would I notify Bonanza of this issue to get my sales fee reduced. It might not have a big significance with one sale, but if there were more sales it could be considerable.
Is there a calculated shipping format on Bonanza to help rectify this type of issue?
If I print a shipping label here is there an account of some sort that I have to pay at the end of the month or do I log into PP just like eBay to purchase a shipping label?

You will give the refund through the payment source ie PayPal.
As to reducing the FVF you will have to send a request to bonanza with the transaction # of the partial refund.
For refunds on transactions go to
Selling Dashboard
Billing
Current Statement
Click on the link that says
Request a fee refund for a transaction on this bill or click on the red x next to the transaction
Explain there was a partial refund…you do get a $10.00 shipping allowance on all shipping costs over $10.00
There is calc shipping
Either set it up in Batch Edit or edit each listing and use the Calc shipping option instead of the flat rate option. You will need to enter the items’ weights and select the options you would like the buyer to use (if you don’t the buyer will be offered all options, and some may not be appropriate for the items)
Bonanza has the option to preload a shipping account for labels…there is a fee for the preload and then the shipping account is used and you will be informed when you need to reload, otherwise using Bonanza shipping you will be charged a fee/per label and your credit card on file will be charged for the label
Otherwise, use paypal “print shipping label” for your transactions
And yes bonz, ebay, PP and every other site I know of includes shipping in the FVF, however, Bonz is the only one I know that gives at least a (up to) $10.00 allowance on the shipping

I ALWAYS print my labels thru PayPal. I just refund any overage for shipping back to the Paypal account if I am able to combine shipping for multiple items since I dont overstate ship costs for an individual item and used Calculated shipping for the heavy stuff. I dont worry about trying to get fees back from Bonz (since they do allow you the $10 break of shipping) and just let it be. Usually I have accumulated enough tokens to get a small discount from the Bonz fees using them toward the monthly bill.

I do everything through Paypal. It’s quicker and the customer gets the refund immediately. Also, the shipping labels are easier to print for me and my customers and I get the tracking numbers.

Thanx Bonzians. I will look into the calc shipping because of a few of my items can range from 20 to 60 bucks in shipping in the US and over a 100 international. That can sorta shy buyers away or attract them if they know the shipping before purchase or not. Since Bonz has been a bit more dormant than a couple of other venues I have not really got into the backside or dashboard end of it yet. learnin
