Howdy fellow bonanza members! an old seller but newbie member to this site!!!

Last week I said Buh Bye to PayBay aka eBay due to all their latest “downgrades” over the last several months…USA sellers are bailing there by the hundreds now everyday…

I have set up my account here last week…imported all my 100% positive seller feedbacks (really cool thing here this site allows you to do!) as well as all of my listings I had on ebay which I thought was really a great thing and so easy 2 do with just one click!!! :)

In Aug I did a grand in sales and in Sep $1800…but I realize being a newbie here it will take some time to get established…

Any body have any best suggestions/recommendations for me…I just found out Bonanza Does NOT charge you a percentage on shipping cost?
Is this true?

Any tips would greatly be appreciated! :)

Thanks!

Welcome Siberians_Forever!!

Sorry for the wrong info given out earlier.

Here it is a bit harder to get sales than feebay. Its not that well known as they are and you must advertise your products. There is paid advertising, but you do not pay till an item sells. Go to “Sell on Bonanza” and then “Advertise items” and take a look thru. I have the superior option at 16% but many times i don’t get charged that much….Its a nice site but sales are slow, so try to Tweet your items….Pin your items to Pinterest… Do the paid advertising….Get involved in some of the community groups…Visit other booths….Eventually sales will come. Good luck here! Love the photo of the puppies :) I’m sure others will come forward and give you advise on this also.

BookBin had some really great knowledge too, but your suggestion on how to promote my booth…just got me more views/traffic in the last week than I have had in the last 2 months on Feebay!!!![URL removed] TY![URL removed]

Bonanza does charge on shipping if the shipping cost is over 10.00. The first 10.00 is fee-free.

Welcome to Bonanza! It’s not as well known, so does require more seller promo, but I like it. :)

Oh wow, i didn’t know that bookbinetc! Oh heck, sorry for giving the wrong info out.

Welcome aboard.

You will also definitely need to make sure your listings are google compliant. You might search threads here for info on that, but I just know someone here has a great link for you.

Unless it’s changed recently, here’s a quick [URL removed]

1. No odd characters (like # & * ) in the title or first 250 characters,
2. no ALL Caps in the title or first 250 char.
3. Don’t say “brand new” or “on sale” in the title or first 250 char.
4. Try to have an all white background for photos
5. Make sure 2 out of the following 3 items are attributed to each [URL removed] MPN, UPC/GTIN & Brand.

And I think they now say all your policies (shipping, payment, etc.) shouldn’t be on your listing page, but I’m not sure.

I feel like I’m forgetting something…?

Wow!!! I am going to have to edit almost every item in my inventory. I’ve been using all caps in my titles for ages.

I have found that putting up a Facebook page for your booth, and joining FB "groups " that are pertinent to your items, that allow you to post a link to your booth helps get sales.

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
