I want to purchase an item from a vendor who also has this same item for sale on ebay but they have it listed as out of stock. should i be worried or is this nothing to worry about?

A vendor on bonanza has an item on here for sale that’s in stock but on this same vendors account on eBay they have it listed as out of stock. I want to purchase this item but don’t know if I should.

I would just contact the seller and ask. There is a “Contact the Seller” button on the item’s listing.

I would like to shame the answerer that said that the seller might leave up the listing because there’s no penalty for not deleting a listing for a sold item.

The reason Bozo doesn’t penalize sellers for this is because sellers’ listings that they have deleted keep reappearing as being available (ask me how I know this).

I’ve complained about this time and time again, both on here and by sending e-mail to Bozo staff. I get non-answers all the time I complain about it.

There are others having the same problem with their deleted items popping back up as unsold.

Shame???? I hope I also implied that leaving a sold item listing active on Bonanza would be unprofessional and inconsiderate of shoppers.

THE [URL removed] The items keep popping up as being available even after being deleted. This isn’t the fault of the seller. It’s a glitch in the Bozo system. I’ve repeatedly deleted items only to have them pop up as available a few days later. I’ve tried all the recommendations Bozo suggested, to no +.

Yes, you should be worried enough to contact the seller.

If the seller doesn’t currently have the item, they won’t keep a listing up on eBay because if someone buys the item, and the seller doesn’t have the item to ship out within the time frame, the seller is penalized by eBay. So there’s some risk involved.

On Bonanza, the seller might keep the item listing active (although they could just as easily put it in reserve) because there are no penalties if the item sells. The buyer is told there is no item available and everyone moves on.

The only penalty the seller would be risking is the PayPal fee he’d lose if the item is bought and paid for, and he has to make a refund to the buyer. PayPal will not refund any of the seller’s fees.
