Item sold nearly 3 years ago has been viewed in last 30 days?

It really puzzles me that this item which Bonanza itself acknowledges was sold 2 years and 9 months ago shows up in my booth stats as having been viewed in the past 30 days.

I understand that stuff remains visible in Google search, but is there not a way Bonanza can factor it OUT of my items viewed count!

It doesn’t help me as a marketing tool at all to be reminded that the item in no longer available, and it seems that it must be a frustration for someone wanting to buy the item – sort of a “nyah, nyah, too late!” kind of stick-your-tongue out gesture.

This is an official Bonanza response.

Users have been able to search for sold items since the early days on Bonanza. Being able to search for sold items is an asset for every seller. Use this tool to your advantage to see which keywords were successful for “X” items and apply relevant ones to your items. Search engines also index such items.

@cshort0319, you can select to not include this stat in your views (it is an option on the drop down menu)

When you view your item counts there are two drop down boxes. One lets you filter out sold items and the other lets you filter out bot-views. Hope that helps.

I have no idea if the stats are available to any one but the booth owner. I only know that the items are still showing up in search, which is really not a good idea at all.

I like to see stats on viewed items even SOLD ones as it gives me an idea of what buyers are looking for. Serves as a reminder to try and stock more of that type of item.

Sometimes, however, it just reflects a fad that has passed its prime! A best-seller for example. from 3 yearsago no longer has the same appeal.

Seeing SOLD items also lets me know how much an item actually sold for. I look at sold items on other venues and it helps me price the item. “It’s a GOOD thing”. ;)

Sold items listed on ebay in the last year is use by sellers and buyers for what is selling and price comparison both for buying and selling an item. So for a year range it is Good, a three year range not so good, but could be for rare or hard to find items.
