Newbie recommendations and suggestions?

Hi! We just opened a booth. We were wondering if anyone can give us any advice or recommendations. We wanted to limit our newbie mistakes and would appreciate any assistance. Thanks for your help and God Bless!

Best advise, READ THESE BOARDS. The community is here to help, but you should read these boards to see what questions have been answered in the past. Bonanza is not a new site and these community boards have a vast amount of information.

Many of your questions have (or will have) been asked and answered in many different ways, many times. IF after you’ve researched these boards, and still have questions (we all do), come back and ask.

Hope this helps in some small way

Add more items, including a wide variety of items. Doing so will allow you to appeal to more buyers and increase your chance of selling. And, as abiddogmom stated, use the 9% advertising rate to ensure that your items show up in the Google Shopping (Google Products) database.

ccmom’s statement of NO CAPS in titles in 100% correct. Change those so you aren’t violating Google’s rules for database placement. If you have UPC, model # or part # for your items, make sure that you include those in the listing. Your items are subject to Google rejection if they don’t have those (at least 2 of the 3) in the listing. There are some categories (or product condition) where that may not be necessary.

Bonanza (like eBay does) will “feed” your items to Google Shopping, but try to be Google-compliant as much as possible. This may [URL removed] [URL removed]

Welcome to Bonanza. This is the slow time of year for online sales, so don’t get discouraged. You will have to put some work into getting sales. Promote your items on Google+, twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and any other social media site you choose to use. It is best to stick with the free booth and use the 9% until you get established. This keeps expenses down and gives you a chance to get familiar with Bonanza. Your fees will never be more than 9% unless you raise the percentage for more exposure. There is a minimum fee of 50 cents for low priced items. Shipping costs under $10 are not included in the fee calculation. All over shipping costs over $10 is included in the fee calculation. This community is a wonderful resource so don’t be shy about asking questions. Bonanza is a great site, but like anything else, you have to dedicate some time to get the sales.

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
