Hi guys,
After some severe mistreatment there, I’m a refugee from ebay. I like Bonanza. I like the format, I link the reps I’ve dealt with. I like the commission structure. The problem is I have no sales.
I refurb laptops and do computer repair. I have a superb feedback record over at ebay (goldenrulecomputing-ny) in this sometimes difficult space. I think my prices are quite fair considering what I put into my machines – and even not considering what I put into my machines.
And yet in five weeks here I have not pulled down one sale. This is so bad I’ve begun listing at ebay again, and syncing here (which only partially appears to be working).
I’m on the basic plan – no extra advertising. I supply the MPNs most of the time, and Google ads are enabled.
Just wondering what gives.

Thanks much, folks. First, sorry for the delay getting back. I received no notifications so I didn’t think there were responses.
I’m not big on social media. I’ve used Twitter to promote my laptops, and I found that instantly I would get about ten hits. Obviously, there are a lot of bots that follow every dot posted to twitter, but it doesn’t do a thing for sales. And I don’t do facebook.
But maybe there is a way to do something on social. I have to consider. I liked the idea of being selective about which social to use. Special thanks for that.
Meanwhile, I did make a sale today. It felt good. :)
Be well,
Paul

The more items you have, the better. Keep adding new inventory since it is free to list with no selling limits.
Since Bonanza is not as well known as ebay, extra steps must be taken to ensure maximum visibility. Having good keywords in titles, lower prices than on ebay, and yes, social media marketing go a long way to making sales. It takes time to get established, but it is possible to do well on Bonanza. I’m working on building my booth’s inventory up so that I have a wide selection of items for potential customers.
