When using the “Duplicate” button on listings – the new listing before it is edited comes up with no photos ?? Is this the new system ??

Hey there, J7339. Thanks for your question and everyone else thanks for your additional comments and questions. So sorry for any confusion the recent change has caused. This new change is by design.
Duplicate listings are not permitted on Bonanza (instead, use the inventory control field on the item edit page above where the detailed item description is). To prevent sellers from inadvertently violating our policies and listing duplicate items, we have recently updated our “Duplicate” feature to only copy the listing category, traits, price and shipping information. This ensures that duplicated items are not exact copies. We apologize for any inconvenience. You can read more about duplicating items [URL removed]

You are welcome to have two windows open so that you may copy/paste item descriptions into a new listing. Please ensure that the descriptions, titles and photos are appropriately updated to reflect a unique, new listing.
Hope this helps to clear things up, and feel free to contact us at support@bonanza.com with any additional questions or concerns. Thanks!

Same issue with me. I change photos every time anyway but it is also deleting my description every time which is pretty aggravating since I use the same text for 90% of the descriptions.

I believe that Bonanza intended the Duplicate item function from the item listing form to be used to sell similar items that would have different photos, different titles, different description, but would have similar traits. So, when I use that listing form, I copy the text description before I click to create a similar listing.
If I want the description and/or photos to remain intact, then I do one of the following to create a 100% duplicate of my [URL removed]
1) Use the Duplicate option by using Batch Editor. You could also use the Batch Editor to quickly make as many duplicates as you need in one setting. The duplicates will copy everything, but they will stay in the “Ready for Sale” mode. Then, go back to the “Add or Edit items” page to edit the duplicates as needed.
[URL removed] The following (2) DOES NOT work. If it did in the past, it’s not working now. It currently results in an empty-filled duplicate with only the previously filled-in title and traits carrying over. No photos and no description.
2) Use the pop-up link when hovering over the item on the" Add or edit items" page, then the item will duplicate everything.

I have just discovered this and sent a question to Bonanza, asking if they have changed the way that “duplicate” works. Now, the way it does not copy over the description is INTENSELY annoying!!!

I came here to ask about this very thing, but you beat me to the punch. Looks like this question is from three days ago, though, and no real answer yet? This problem is really costing me a TON of time. I assumed at first that it was a glitch and would probably get fixed, but it’s obviously been here a few days now…
Did you anyone ever get an answer from Bonz? If so, please share? If not, I will send them another message.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
