Shipping charges set up - help

Hi All.

I have just started listing items and am based in the UK. I need to offer free postage within the UK but apply a charge for countries outside the UK. I’m having problems applying dual postage options as it seems that I can only charge a postage fee or offer free postage (not a combination of both) I know it can be done as I have seen the options on other listings, so it is probably something I’m not doing.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Many thanks,

Matt

You can do it on Your batch edit [URL removed]

https://www.bonanza.com/booths/Kirafashion/batch_edit

Selling → Batch edit items → Shipping → Add international shipping service

Choose there the first option (Free) and mark United Kingdom (choose all Your items from the list below and then click above them on the big green Apply changes button).

To add shipping cost to other destinations, choose the second option (Flat [URL removed] $) and follow similar steps.

I’m not sure this is same for UK (I’m US)

When I list and offer free shipping, my ad list automatically shows free shipping US. When a customer purchases for international shipping, I receive an email stating an order needs to be approved.

I can then check the order, add shipping charges and then send the invoice to the customer. Customer pays, and your good to go. Make sure you have all info (shipping method, address, phone #) before you start.

Make sure you have your PayPal account set up to receive different currency’s.

I hope this helps

I was thinking of trying this site again but since I just read this post I’m guessing its still not been implemented for UK sellers yet. It was just way to much hassle working with US based settings, the site is so user friendly just not for UK seller yet

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
