Stuck on setting up checkout by amazon, need help

Ok, I hope I don’t thoroughly confuse everybody, but I am stressed and need help, lol.

I started setting up Checkout by Amazon last night, and I got through the first part, I got the email saying Welcome to Checkout by Amazon, and I even got my Merchant ID, but when I click on Integration, I do not see my Access Key ID or Secret Access Key ID. I started this last night and I read where it can take up to 24 hours, so am I just not being patient enough or do I need to click on something else to get it? Should it just automatically show up when I click on Integration? I saw at the bottom where it says “Create MWS Account”, but I read on the how-to page on Bonanza where that wasn’t necessary.

I’m about to pull my hair out because I feel so dumb, lol. If anyone could help, I would be so thankful! :):):)

I set up mine 3 years ago, but I seem to remember it took a while..but I do remember just clicking on the Intregration “Access Key” and the information was there…

I also seem to remember they did a test deposit to my checking account first to see if it was set up right…

This is the person we worked with then to help those who needed it. I do not know if Jeremy is still there, but you might be able to get through to someone if your numbers do not show soon

I just went through this a couple days ago. Their site looks clean, but it’s not terribly user friendly for newbies. I felt like I was going in circles.

So I emailed them or did live chat…I don’t recall (lots going on, so I can’t remember it all. LOL)

They replied back in a day by email and said to do the MWS account. For me, what was missing was my taxpayer ID. I’m not sure exactly how I got there…like I said, I was going in circles, clicking all the links looking for info.

But when you get to the screen asking for your business info to set up a seller account, use your ssn if you’re a sole proprietor.

Here’s the nice message they sent me (we’ll see if their link shows up here in Bonzland):

’’Greetings from Amazon.com CBA Developer Support.

Our team was told you were having issues with Checkout By Amazon on Bonanza, and I’d like to tell you that we’re here to help! You should be able to retrieve your Access Keys for this by going to [URL removed] and navigating to Integration > Access Keys; if these are not present, you will be prompted to create a free MWS account in order to generate a key pair.

Additionally, your account is currently suspended due to invalid tax information; your button will not show unless you enter in valid tax information. You will be prompted to enter this in if you navigate to the Seller Central homepage under Checkout By Amazon Production mode (which you can change with the drop-down box at the top right hand corner of the page). ’’

That basically gave me the greenlight on creating the MWS, because I had heard we didn’t need to, either. So once I did that, from there is was easy peasy, and I got my secret key or whatever and all that right away.

Best of luck and happy sales!
