I have a booth with a gold membership and a booth with the basic no membership. I sold about as many items in each last month. The added features are more helpful with the inventory of one than the other.

Your items are specialized parts that many of us would not know what to do with or recognize if we saw it. Your money might be best used for advertising, both here and in the search engines. Make sure you have your marketing and advertising here set at the highest level so they are seen the most possible times. You don’t incur charges unless you sell something. Have you tried to advertise in blogs that are about car parts? Often that kind of advertising is inexpensive, but goes straight to individuals that need what you provide.

Membership offers great tools to increase or upgrade your business

I believe, though that a seller needs to really establish their business first before considering membership, but if you wish to experiment go with the lowest (Silver first). I had memberships for 2 booths from 2009 to 2013, but I dropped them last year when I spent too much time in hospital to keep up with the work.

I would recommend following the SEO rules like removing promo and boilerplate information from the titles

I do not think it is necessary to go to the full advertizing percentages if you have good SEO and keywords as well as using twitter/facebook, pinterest or any of the others…but some do use the highest…

the first 250 characters are sent google shopping (GPS) use them for keys and nice sentence description

If you have brands, mpn, upc, manufacturer, also add them to your Item Traits/Search Optimize.
