What is the best way to prepare your items before listing?

I’ve been working on getting my store up and I desperately need to get suggestions on the best way to prepare your items to list. I do custom memorial portraits and I went through and labeled everything only to find out after I posted that it wasn’t going to work out. I’ve been working on just 4 items for like 4 days, changing things. I’m doing one last relabeling and then the others should go easier. I guess my first 4 have been trial & error but I need to get the hang of this if I’m going to have items to sell for Christmas. :( After I got advice from the community I made my description and how they order really simple. I’d appreciate any wisdom from the community!

Your pet memorial portraits are beautiful. I took a look at the description and noticed that the word damaged was misspelled in your shipping section. I am sure you want to correct it.

Hi. I would download a free spell checker to your computer and this way, while you are writing up your listings, you’ll get notification while typing that something is not correct. I have one on my and it helps out a lot…I just cannot find it on my computer (even though it is working) right now…

or I would give you the name of the one I used.

I think in this sentence you mean to type from rather than one (not for sure). Here’s your [URL removed]

You have 18 memorial texts to choose one and the order # will be directly under each text.

Sorry I can’t be more help, but I just wanted to say that I use a program called Grammarly on my computer, and it’s really helpful for spelling and grammar issues. Good luck with your shop!

Thanks everybody. It’s funny because I noticed it too and will fix it. And thanks for the one to from. I use grammarly, I accidentally turned it off and I’m trying to figure out how to turn it back on. They would send me weekly reports excited to tell me how really bad I did! lol I fixed damage on one description because I had pasted the description into open office. I already know my punctuation in this comment needs corrections too. :)

Thank you abigdogmom, I created Dragonfly-Memories as a fundraiser for a memorial website I have for fallen military and first responders. I give them free online memorials and I send their families an 8 × 10 memorial portrait. I’ve been doing this since 2004. www.aherostribute.org I’m really excited to be here and look forward to getting to know everyone!
