Where do you suppose new members should introduce themselves?

This is an official Bonanza response.

For now I would say that introducing yourself would be most relevant in the “Fun & Games” category. We could always edit that category heading to include welcomes too.

I do not know. That’s a good question.

I know it seemed popular for a seller to introduce themselves. I remember doing the same thing not long after I got here.

Did you see in the lower right corner that we can see new members….it says “say hello to”? It is not the same as an introduction though.

Fun and Games for introductions of new sellers as suggested by Mark. I don’t think new sellers think of starting a booth to sell is fun and games. They need their own forum page to be comfortable and welcomed, just my opinion I could be wrong, but I have not seen any new sellers posting.

It seems improbable, to me, that a new seller would instinctively head toward fun and games as a place to introduce themselves. And I’m a bit nervous about changing that section’s title to include a welcome. Here am I, a new member, dropping into material having to do with food games and 3 word stories. Very strange, I might think.

Better, I believe, that each new member receive a welcome email, together with a directive to the community help forum, where they may announce themselves.

Correct me if I am wrong, Mark, but my assumption is that the constituency of fun and games is much smaller than the constituency of everything else.

My 2 cents.

this is all so confusing..I don’t like this at all..been here almost 5 years..love the forums..don’t like big changes..not good ..

answered Translation missing: es.datetime.distance_in_words.almost_x_years ago

I don’t like it either. Very confusing! Too big of a change all at one time like granny7x has said.

Not happy this morning—yes, we need a specific place for new members to introduce themselves. I don’t agree that “Fun and Games” is where a new member would know to go for introductions.
I hate change—quit moving my cheese, please!

I tend to log out a lot sooner that I use to. It’s not like it use to be.
