Why doesn't bonanza offer fed ex smart post?

Fed Ex Smart Post is cheaper than USPS for items of only a few pounds. The other Fed Ex shipping choices are high. Why would they not use Smart Post? Fed Ex partners with USPS to get the package delivered. It takes 3-10 days (mostly 6-7) and is much more economical for items over 1 lb that cannot be sent by First Class USPS.

I just wish they would add the FedEx Option…. We don’t use UPS. And most of our items ship FedEx.

Interesting, I never heard of fed ex smart post until now. Sounds like a good idea.

If you have a Fed ex account..just flat rate and print the postage on the Fed Ex site….not sure if you can choose Fed Ex through PP but if so, then print postage there..We do not have a Fed Ex store locations here and only a small drop box at USPS so I never use it

It will be cheaper or not depending on the Zone you are shipping to.

I wouldn’t think that Bonanza would offer that service since it is the parcel equivalent to bulk mail.

FedEx is utilizing zone skipping and consolidation for volume discounts on packages picked up by or dropped off at a FedEx Ground/SmartPost facility. Or it was last I knew.

Same as UPS SurePost, both companies collect, sort, transport and hold parcels until they meet a certain threshold for discounts; then deliver to the USPS distribution point closest to the recipient, which then has to integrate into their delivery system.
Thus you end up with a delay over using USPS directly possibly with a discount on the postage cost, possibly not.

As a customer/recipient I was never impressed with the delay in service.
