I just started noticing this a week or so ago. You know how when you’re listing a new item, it adds up “points” when you do a complete title….more when you add pictures….more when you add a description….etc. Then you get to the end and it tells you how high or low your listing percent is to reflect how good the listing is comparatively.
I list most of my items with “free” shipping. But I’ve noticed lately that it doesn’t add any “points” for that when entering shipping. So while my new listings USED to add up to 95-100% BEFORE….they no longer do.
Of course, I’m NOT concerned about THAT so much (as I realize it’s just there to give you a reference). Rather, I’m concerned with if I’m not doing something I SHOULD be doing. I ship with UPS but when I make a listing I just click the “free shipping” tab and there’s nowhere on the listing to specify the METHOD of free shipping.
I’ve never entered any type of global shipping info because I don’t do free shipping ALL the time..just MOST of the time. And I like to do it on a case-by-case basis
Anyway, just thought I’d check to be sure I haven’t missed an announcement or anything.

If you wish to let buyers know that shipping is by UPS
Update Items as Group (otherwise known as batch edit)
Shipping (Click on shipping)
At bottom in shipping options (left) it [URL removed]
Set max business days before item ships
Click on this and [URL removed] information you would like the buyer to know…you can actually add quite a bit of information (if you look at one of my listings you will see what I have in that box)
Items ship by UPS and within x business days
Select All Items (once you select one the All items button option appears)
Click Apply Changes
Update booth
this information will show under shipping options in the listing…

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
