9% max advertising fee

Many weeks ago I lowered my max advertising rate to 9%.

Sold an item the other day and was charged 11.1%.

Anybody know why?

Thanks!!

Cindy, what was the value of the item sold? If it was a lower priced item, that sometimes is the reason. For instance, the minimum fee is .50, so for a low-priced item, it can be over the percentage you select.

Also, note…that when your booth was set at the higher rate, ads went out based on that rate and sometimes when an item sells after you lowered the ad rate, it still had a number of ad clicks at the higher rate..I have had this happen before.

Always good to keep track how many ad clicks a listing has…

But as Book says..an item costing $4.00 will have a $.50 fvf which is 11.1%

Close… $0.50 FVF on $4 sale is 12.5%. On a $4.50 sale, the $..50 FVF would be 11.1%

Thanks for mentioning the previously sent ads, Cindy. I meant to add that, but forgot. :)
