I only have a few things listed now, but haven’t sold anything since last year and not getting any views. I don’t have a membership. I sell clothing and swimwear items. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Just as there are success stories on any selling venue, there are those sellers on Bonanza that do very well and have been selling very successfully here for many years. Bonanza has been around for 8 years but has never done the advertising that eBay or Amazon have done to become better known. If a seller uses one of the advertising levels, or uses social media to promote to get their items seen there may be some hope for sales. Bonanza is not an eBay or Amazon where you can just list items and they’ll sell. It takes a lot of hard work to even get noticed on Bonanza…Having said that, I have the free basic booth, do not do social media, and unless I use one of the higher advertising levels of 13% or better, my booth sees 0-1 views per day and that’s with several hundred items! When I use the 19% level of advertising, the most views I have ever had in a day is 8 views and to this point have not had a sale from any advertising level …and I have tried them all over the past several months… so what does that tell you? Bonanza has little traffic and unless a seller promotes on social media, sales on this site will be a challenge. Most of the 50-60 items I have sold on Bonanza were sold during [phone number removed] when Bonanza was an up and coming venue with great potential. But this site has gone downhill since then. Bonanza is what it is; not what it was… I have had 2 sales on Bonanza in the past 14 months…my last sale on Bonanza was back in April…
My items all still sell way better on eBay …
unfortunately Bonanza is not a viable venue for my items, but it is still free to list here so all my inventory is here for when not listed on eBay…and of course in the meantime, one can always hope for a sale on Bonanza!

Some here disagree with my opinion however I still say there is a summer slowdown of sales because people are out doing things when the weather is nice and not at home looking at stuff to buy. Even noticed that on auction site. Things usually pick up after the kids have gone back to school and the weather becomes more of a factor to not doing outside activities.

I had fair sales when I first joined, but not doing much now, only 2 sales this year. It would be better if they advertised but they so not. I would not spend the money for a different type booth with such low sales.

I don’t know if my input will be helpful, but I’m just gonna throw it out here so things don’t look to skewed, i.e. like no one sells anything.
I don’t know what the difference is between booth views and item views (I just don’t have the time to learn about all that statistics-y stuff), but the little graph on my seller page usually shows my items views somewhere in the 40-ish range during the summer. Around the holidays, of course, it’s a lot higher. I have had only three sales in August, but we’re only 12 days into the month. I’ve had nine sales in the last 30 days, but again, it’s summer (summer is the bane of my existence, especially since I’m in Phoenix where we all just randomly burst into flame on a daily basis). Also, I haven’t really been listing anything that I consider particularly exciting lately (again, because I’m in Phoenix, so most of my time right now is spent trying to keep myself somewhere below the temperature of the sun’s surface). Basically, in a nutshell, summer time is slow for shoppers and also slow for me getting things done, so nine sales in 30 days is okay.
I feel pretty confident saying that if I were working harder and listing more right now, I could safely count on a sale each day. During the holiday season it’s definitely different, and I rarely have a day without a sale between, say, late October and the end of December. I say this based on having been here on Bonz for… I don’t remember. And I’m too lazy to go look. However long Bonz has been here, I’ve been here. Haha.
I don’t do any social media promoting. I used to, a few years ago, but it was a lot of work and also I tend to get sucked into socializing with everyone who comments on any of my items or whatever, so I basically turned into my third-grade self who talked too much in class and didn’t get my work done. Lol. Thus, I stopped doing it. May do it again, I dunno. Right now, all I do is list stuff.
For the sake of full disclosure, I’ll say that I do list my stuff also on Craigslist locally, and I have a good number of “regulars” who check my booth often to see what’s new. Everything’s available for pickup, so they just take a peek every now and then and let me know what they want to stop by for. But I’m not getting into that aspect of things in this convo because y’all are talking about sales here, specifically on Bonanza, specifically by customers who find your goodies online. So, as far as those go, to sum it up for me [URL removed] 3 in August, 12 in the last 30 days, it’ll definitely be way more after summer, and it would definitely be way more if I was busting my butt. And 40-ish item views a day. I don’t know if that’s a lot or not.
Does that provide a different viewpoint as an answer to your question? I dunno, hope it was helpful in some way. :)

Yes, sales do happen here. I have tried all the membership packages, Turbo traffic, social media promotions and the like to give an honest review. The more items I list that fit into the tools supported here the better. There are many free opportunities on the site to assist you with getting your items seen.

You do only have 11 items in your booth. That is not very many. The more you list the more your items will get seen online.
As far as prices, I try to make my items competitive with ebay. i look to see what the prices are over there, and i will list it a bit lower in my booth. Usually those items will sell. For [URL removed] You have a bra up for sale for $29.99, I just looked on ebay and you have the exact same bra up there for 26.99 with free shipping. You have it for $3 more here on bonanza, the fee’s here are less, why not list it the same price here? IF a buyer really wants that bra, and goes out to search the web for a better price or the same price, it would not be yours. See what I mean?
The highest priced bra in my booth is a Victorias Secret bra NWT for $25 with free shipping. I have made about 15 sales in my booth since late last year up to now. Not many, but I dont have a great deal of items listed also like I do in my other booths, but I still made sales here and not on ebay. Which is fine with me.
Only problem is people dont usually come back to leave feedback here on bonz. I wish they would do something about that.

Bonanza is good to list on because you can list as many items as you want for free, no fee until something sells, & the site is relatively easy to use. Because Bonanza lacks the traffic & large built in customer base as sites like eBay & Amazon, it is up to the seller to self promote their shop. Social media is good, I have a Facebook page which I add a few things to each month, pretty low maintenance. I do several events (festivals, charity events, etc) each year & also have a small display in an office with business cards & signs. (My shop is currently on vacation mode because I have 2 large festivals this month & have over 3,000 items listed so until I adjust the inventory to remove whatever sells at events) wish there was more traffic but I am making some sales here each month & have more this year than last. I list regularly, almost daily, & try to have a large variety of items. Its free so why not & basically whatever I sell on here is extra since I pay nothing to list & also don’t need to edit/relist things, listings stay up forever until sold or removed so it is low maintenance in my opinion. Keep items listed on whatever other sites you like & anything that sells here is just extra, that’s how I look at it. Good luck

I personally have not had much luck any kind of sales here. I advertised with the 19% and views seem to go down, not up. So I got rid of it.
I have not done much in the last month because I am not seeing any results for the hard work of listing and getting more in. The views trickle in at one or two a day and some times none for days. So I am re-thinking things. I have never had such low views on any site I have been on.
