Just curious, are there any bonanza success stories?anyone like to share?

it seems that if there were, that bonanza would obviously highlight the individual for ad purposes, but ive not seen anything.so…..anyone in the 1000 sale category care to share?

There are quite a few….and in the old days when the forums were more social, many were here to share information and stories quite often…..

Here are few….some are active, some never visit or post in forums, some are moving away to their own sites for more control…or for other reasons

[URL removed] with 13786 Bonanza transactions
[URL removed] (has several booths and does rather well)
[URL removed] with 3092 Bonanza transactions
[URL removed] with 7854 Bonanza transactions
[URL removed] with 2502 Bonanza transactions

Then there is Jules (don’t know, can’t remember name of all booths), and A2z (over 2000 combined booths) (and a few others I can’t remember at present) who have/has/or had several booths but combining the sales are over the 1000 mark

There are several, but if they do not choose to come to the forums, really don’t know…It takes work, SEO, getting your store out there, either through FB, twitter, g+, pinterest, or whatever, good keywords, descriptions…

We have to bring buyers to our listing through internet search…buyers (except those familiar or are members) don’t just come here to shop like the e and the A place…

We are still here and making daily sales. 2012 was an excellent year, then slowed down in 2013. Since July our sales are going back up again. Carinso has always done well and would show up on the top sellers list often, we are very jealous of them, and hope to grow up and be just like them someday!! Just to note buyers just don’t seem to leave feedback, even our repeat buyers don’t, so that is no indication of sales. Would still like to see our our sales double or triple, but never regret selling here.

I am not in the four digit success category. However, I am in the several hundred sales success category. I’m not an expert, but I do have some experience. I started here in January 2011, took off most of 2012 and half of 2013 to take care of my mother, to give you an idea of the time frame that I’ve been selling. I added two booths recently so I can separate the different types of products.

Here is what I have [URL removed]
1. Feedback is slim here because our sales come from Google searches, social media sites, etc. As a result of that, they are taken straight to the item page, so our buyers have not seen our booths—they probably don’t even know we have one or that Bonanza is organized that way. DON’T WORRY about feedback. Feedback is over-rated, real stores don’t use feedback.
2. The BEST thing you can do to get sales or to increase sales is to advertise your items. Use the Bonanza marketing and advertising that is offered. Since I started doing that, sales have come in steadily. Even items that have sat there since I returned to Bonanza last year are selling now. Don’t be penny wise and dollar foolish, be willing to spend those extra cents on Bonanza’s advertising, even if it means raising the price a tiny bit. You have nothing to lose, it is free unless you sell something.
3. Having a membership does not, in itself, increase sales. Memberships increase the number of features you have—like sub-categories, booth panels, number of background burns, etc. I have more sales now in this booth than when I had a membership, because of the marketing and advertising. Get a membership because you have a tremendous amount of items and need the extra features. Otherwise, save that money for advertising!
4. Most of the successful sellers don’t frequent the forums. They’re to busy selling. Next time you are looking at a sellers profile, click on some of those “Who’s Around” members in the right column, you will be amazed at what people are selling and at what volumes. You can also see “Who’s around” at the bottom of the community page. (The time I spent in forums today might have been better spent listing a few items.)
5. If you want to know whether someone is selling or not, go by their number of transactions, not by their feedback.
6. This might be opening up a can of worms. I don’t know what is available to Canadians, but it helps to have other payment options than Paypal.

Enough of this, I’m going to go check out your booth!

Site hiccup here..sorry for double post

Curious as to what MysticCreatsion said. That most of those booths have not sold anything in months…..Can we tell if someone sold something, other than feedback? Because many buyers do not leave feedback, so im not sure what other way to tell if a booth is making sales….I tend to have maybe only 1 to 2 sales from outsiders (Non members of bonanza) every couple of months, and most of them do not leave feedback..

I have been trying to hit my 500th transaction for the past 2 years. I have changed my booth items a few times and did do nicely when I was social marketing only. But, I have had over 230 sales on etsy in the past year and about 5 here. I would love to be able to pay Bonanza fees monthly![URL removed]

In the search bar, type a user’s name such as ‘crittercreekranch’. When that page opens, on left side select ‘sold in last year’, then ‘search descriptions’. This will bring up all items that seller sold in the last year.

In the last 2 years that I have been on Bonanza I have sold about 12 items. When on eBay I have sold at least $500/mo…“Top Rated”….while Bonanza is asking me to link up with Amazon and open a webstore for $25/mo…Why should I do that?

This site is not like ebay, customers most often do not leave feedback. For me about 2 our of 15. Also, prices are set, no auctions.

I am fairly new to Bonanza and was just curious, as we have not made any sales since being here, do you have to be a paid member to have any sales?? I have been working on adding more items on here, but hope that my hard work is in vain. I wanted to try to expand to other venues other than being confined to just one site. Thanks!! Have a great day!! May God bless!!

A few weeks is hardly enough time to actually get a ‘store’ established when you are depending on search results. Get your items in google shopping (Check the Advertise tab), get your links out on the web there (twitter, FB, pinterest, etc) make sure you have SEO

ccmom says: September 07, 2014

And no a membership is not necessary, it offers great tools once established, but if not established then consider upgrading to help

ccmom says: September 07, 2014

Hate that can’t edit comments anymore..but if not established then upgrading without the support of sales probably will not help much

I signed up for the google ads and since then I went from 300 page views a day, to 1-5 if that.. This place is a joke.

It looks like your items are just copies from the supplier which would make them duplicate material in Google’s eyes. Duplicates are penalized in search. Also, Google does not like all caps in the titles, that might be hurting you too. Wish you luck selling in all your venues.

Just a quick add, most of these booths haven’t sold anything in months, except

This booth has daily sales. And if you really look hard the only other thing I see selling is Booth Promotions & Booth Panel Promotions.
DVDs & Video Games seem to be doing very well as with Gaming accessories and Digital Goods.
I think sales will pick up when the weather gets cooler and everyone starts thinking and preparing for the HOLIDAY SEASONS! At least I hope so :)

well, I know for sure all of them have had sales recently..even my own shows FB in July and then FB from last Dec..and even though I am not a high seller (never intended to be) I still made 9 in this booth in Aug…no not daily but I don’t expect and don’t work for it full time either

ccmom says: September 05, 2014

Also, you have nice items, personally a little bit more detail would make me happy…250 characters are sent to google for search…use them to bring buyers to your items…good luck
