Hello sellers,
I’m new on here and was wondering what the PayPal fees will be on a sale. I’m pretty clear on bonanza fees. I also sell on eBay and the PayPal fee is approximately 11% (which is outrageous) +eBay fees 10% =21% total at least for me. eBay has recently dropped PayPal so if you’ve signed up for managed payments it should be less. I haven’t made a sale since the change so I have yet to see the new supposedly lower fee structure. So if you’re selling on bonanza and had PayPal process your payment what % is it? Thank you so much

PayPal’s fees have NOT changed for Bonanza sales. The fee is $0.30 + 2.9% of the entire sales amount (on item + shipping, but NOT sales tax).
On eBay’s MANAGED payments, they have rolled their FVF and the payment processing fee into ONE fee. That MANAGED payment fee now includes the old eBay FVF % plus the processing . That means that the percentages eBay used to charge have been increased to INCLUDE the processing fee. And, they do add the per order fee. If you are lucky enough to continue being able to accept PayPal on eBay, then those $0.30 + 2.9 fees have NOT changed. However, all eBay sellers will eventually be switched away from PP processing to MANAGED payments.
I think you are mistaken that you are paying 11% PayPal only fee on your eBay sales. Of course, if you have a very small sale… for example a $4.00 sale… you would end up paying the 30¢ + 2.9%, which would total approximately 42¢ in processing fees resulting in a processing fee of approximately 10.5%. Remember that you are paying for two things when you sell anywhere… a FVF and a payment processing fee.
