Maybe this is another test or a feature I’m not up on. I received 5 messages today asking me “is this price flexible?” It showed the listing title and photo with a yes or no response that I can tick.
I have offers turned off so it isn’t the offers feature. Anyone know about this one?

I’m not positive but I’m wondering if the messages might have been from a potential buyer. You don’t say who the messages are from and I know I’ve never received a message from Bonanza in regard to whether or not my price is flexible. Since your listed items are not OBO I’m thinking that the messages may have come from someone who would like to purchase your item and is just asking if you are flexible on your price. If this is the case you should have a B-mail in your messages box that you can just reply to saying no or letting them know what your bottom line would be. I have had people send me a bonanza email asking if this is my best price on an item that I didn’t have set to OBO.

When i send a message to someone on bonanza, there is a section for me to automatically send a best offer if the seller has OBO enabled, if they dont, there is a section for me to hit and ask if the price is flexible., if someone sends me a message, there is a place for me to respond and offer a better price., sort of a one time discount for that person only, as an incentive i would imagine. Pretty sure this is the same thing you are talking about

when a buyer clicks on an item and then clicks on Ask seller a Question this is what comes up…so even though you do not have OBO (or best offer), the buyer is still given the option to ask if you would negotiate price

OK, that’s what it is, now I see why I’m getting so many of these. Is there a way to opt out?

I don’t have OPT on my listings because I don’t want constant inquiries for those just looking for discounts (In the antique trade we call these bottom feeders.) and not really interested, and therefore I don’t want a buyer reminded or encouraged to ask for offers that that window does. When I do receive a reasonable offer, I’m glad to answer. Sometimes I can do better & sometimes i can’t.
