A BUNCH of my patterns have been disallowed because of Google’s “Spam policy” I think it might be a trait thing, but I don’t know what they don’t like. My stuff is not new, but “preowned” so if that’s what they are objecting to, well, I will have to do without Google shopping.

Hi Ms_Prissys_Patterns,
It sounds like you are having some trouble with Google Shopping and your feed. If it is not clear why your items were marked as disapproved for spam you can ask Google Merchant Help Center for more information. The information they ask for is on your Selling>Advertise Items>Google Diagnostics page. The Merchant Help Center page is [URL removed]

Google lost its collective mind, IMHO. It sure seems as if they’re doing everything possible to bury the little guy – they don’t need us, they don’t want us. This “spam policy” is a new one to me, though. Are you sure it’s not the “attributes” nonsense? I know they use all that for tracking and data-basing every detail of everything they get their bots into. If you don’t “give” them all the data they want, they just spit you out for whatever their latest, conjured up excuse may be.
How can offering something on a selling venue, for sale, be spam? Wish I had that answer for you, but it makes no sense to me. Nothing the G-monster does makes sense anymore.

I agree with MaydaMart, sometimes my items show, and other times not. Yet you see tons of listings from other big companies such as Victorias Secret etc. So i dont even bother any longer with G shopping.

I notice that many of your listings start with the word Pattern. Are those the ones they called spam? Perhaps their bots don’t like all the titles being similar.

I agree with Bookbin. Although since I know you have been here for many years (as have I), I don’t know why it would suddenly become an issue. Also several listings begin with the words Vintage or Unopened.
I think if you changed your titles to have an individual specific word first in each title, it would be better for Google. This would be a Herculean task, I realize, with over 2,000 listings, but I don’t know any other solution.
Just my humble opinion, and Best Wishes!

Google seems to not like words like used, new, sealed etc. I know I was having a problem with similar words and words that they deemed as descriptive. Here is a copy of a denial from google-
General spam policy.
The title or description violate Google Shopping’s spam policies by including promotional content.
