I do not know the history of it. The box is in bad condition, but this motor is new. It has a stain or very light surface rust on the top of the shaft as can be seen in the pictures. It would not cause any problems in mounting a pulley or coupling on it. I found the output shaft diameter of this model listed as 32. I am not able to test it.
