Two Antique Magic Lantern Theatre Funeral and Holiday Advertising Slides 1930 A C
Consolidated Advertising Corp., San Diego, CA
These two slides are in excellent condition, sharing one unfortunate flaw - they are both cracked. They advertise the Joyce Furniture Stores and Funeral Services in Unadilla, NY and were projected on the local movie house screen before and/or after the main attraction. The first photo of each was scanned as a positive color transparency. It shows the condition of the slide. The second photo of each was scanned as a non-transparent photograph. It shows the frame and the lettering thereon. The year 1930 is claimed as the year of production based on one of the slides from this collection that celebrated the 154th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America - 1776 + 154 = 1930. Also, note the 2-digit telephone number!
The outside dimensions are 4" x 3.25" (10.21cm x 8.26cm).
